All the plinths sold by EVA Studios are handcrafted with love (and a lot of sawdust) on the central coast of NSW, using sustainable materials from local arborists, ethically collected driftwood, second-hand and ex-demolition timber and donations.

These items are chosen, shaped and finished by hand in a small, creatively-chaotic garage. Due to the nature of the handcrafted process, combined with uncommon materials, flaws are often present in the plinth. We choose to work with and highlight these flaws as unique features rather than wasting material and polishing them down -  after all, the beauty of working with timber is being able to celebrate the unique story and appearance of the timber itself. 
 
Our standard plinths come in three unique loot categories:
Uncommon -  Timber plinths cut and finished to compliment the grain and nature of regular timber pieces, or coated in an enamel paint for a polished, smooth finish. 
Rare -  Timber plinths that are cut and finished to highlight either a unique woodgrain, highlight unique visual characteristics of the wood, or contain a minor feature that creates visual interest. 
Mythic - One of a kind pieces carefully cut from live-edge timber, unique formations or unusual materials. These plinths are deliberately shaped and finished to provide a canvas that can become as much a part of your finished piece as the artwork itself.
