Blackbutt is a strong and reliable hardwood that works well as a base for larger or heavier pieces. It usually has a naturally straight grain with a range of warm colours ranging from light brown to golden tones. This particular piece was cut from a 5ft slab of Blackbutt that featured a naturally figured grain that creates a lustrous 'rippling' effect when certain parts of the plinth are viewed in direct light.

Timber Finish
