EVA Studios is proud to offer hand-painted TCG card alterations for collectors, players, and enthusiasts seeking something truly unique.
Whether you're after a subtle border extension or a full scenic transformation, each card is treated as a miniature canvas—crafted with precision, storytelling, and care to ensure a striking result every time.
While I’ve explored various card alteration styles over the years, I now focus exclusively on fully hand-painted acrylic alters. This approach allows for greater artistic control, durability, and individuality in every piece.
Pricing is based on the time spent painting each card, so you're only charged for the work that goes into your specific request. Additional costs will apply if I am required to source the card for the alter, or a pre-painted card is sold, taking into account the original card price.

HOW DOES IT WORK
Each card alteration begins with a thoughtful planning phase, where we discuss your vision—whether it's restorative, thematic, stylistic, or narrative-driven. Once the concept is clear, the card is gently cleaned to remove any surface oils or residue that might interfere with paint adhesion.
Next, the card is carefully flattened if needed, using a gentle humidification and low heat pressing to ensure a smooth working surface without damaging the card’s integrity. Once prepped, a light matte base is applied to the intended paint area to help the acrylics bond cleanly and allow for crisp detail work.
From there, the painting begins—layer by layer, using non-fading artist-quality acrylics, airbrushes and fine brushes to build up your artwork. Every alter is sealed with a protective varnish to ensure durability during play or display, while preserving the usability of the original card.
